We Are Madison's Milling Co.
Nourishment Starts Here...
Established 2026
Burrillville, RI
It Started With Madison
Built for the next generation — from one family’s table to our entire community.
Madison’s Milling Co. began with a simple but powerful question: What are we really feeding our children? What started as a father’s search for better answers became a commitment to build something better — something rooted in stewardship, transparency, and real nourishment. This isn’t just a milling company. It’s a promise. A promise to Madison, to our family, and to every child growing up in a world that deserves more honest food and stronger foundations.

What We Bring to the Table
At Madison’s Milling Co., everything begins with whole grain.
We stone-mill wheat berries in small batches, preserving the complete structure of the grain — bran, germ, and endosperm — just as it was grown. Our flour is available as single-variety or thoughtfully crafted blends to support everyday baking.
We will begin with four core wheat berries:
Hard White • Soft White • Hard Red • Soft Red
Each variety offers unique characteristics for bread, pastries, and home baking.

Fresh-Milled Flour & Whole Berries
• Fresh-milled whole grain flour
• Custom grain blends
• Whole wheat berries (available unmilled or milled to order)
Whether you prefer to mill at home or bake immediately, we provide flexibility and transparency from field to flour.

Baking Mixes
We offer simple, thoughtfully crafted mixes made with fresh-milled grain and recognizable ingredients.
Our mixes are designed for real kitchens and everyday families, including:
• Pancakes & waffles
• Muffins & quick breads
• Sandwich & artisan breads
• Pizza dough
• Brownies & cakes
• Cookies & seasonal specialties
No enrichment. No unnecessary additives. Just whole grain and intention.

Sourdough Starter Kits
For those ready to begin their sourdough journey, our starter kits provide fresh-milled flour and guidance to help you build and maintain your own living culture at home.

From Our Mill to Your Kitchen:
How It Works
At Madison’s Milling Co., flour isn’t just a product — it’s a living food.
For most of human history, grain was milled locally and used fresh. The aroma of newly milled wheat filled bakeries and kitchens,
and families baked bread with flour that still carried the vitality of the whole grain.
That is the tradition we are working to restore.
Every bag of flour we send out carries with it a simple promise: honest grain, freshly milled, stewarded with care.
Fresh-Milled Flour Ships Differently
Unlike industrial flour that may sit in warehouses for months, our flour is milled in small batches from whole grains.
Because the bran and germ remain intact, the flour contains the natural oils and nutrition of the grain. This gives it remarkable
flavor and nourishment, but it also means it should be treated like a fresh food.
For the best quality, we recommend storing fresh-milled flour in the refrigerator or freezer, especially if you plan to keep it longer
than a few weeks.
It’s flour the way it used to be — alive, aromatic, and full of character.
Our Milling & Shipping Rhythm
We mill grain throughout the week and prepare orders in small batches so flour can reach you as fresh as possible.
Typical processing time:
1–3 business days
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the next business day.
Whenever possible, flour is milled shortly before it ships, preserving the flavor and vitality of the grain.
Shipping
We currently ship within the United States.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on order size and destination.
Orders ship using trusted carriers such as:
• UPS
• USPS
Once your order leaves the mill, you will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow its journey to your kitchen.
Caring for Your Flour
Because our flour contains the full grain — including the germ and its natural oils — proper storage helps preserve freshness.
Recommended storage:
Room temperature: 2–4 weeks
Refrigerator: 3–6 months
Freezer: up to 1 year
Store flour in a sealed container to protect it from moisture and odors.
If Something Isn’t Right
We take pride in every bag that leaves our mill.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can make it right.
Because flour is a food product, we cannot accept returns on opened items, but we will always work to resolve any issues fairly.
Double-Check Your Shipping Address
Please confirm that your shipping address is correct before completing checkout.
Incorrect addresses can result in delayed or misdirected packages, and we cannot guarantee replacement for orders delivered to
an incorrect address entered during checkout.
